In the spring of 2006 I had a dream where I saw waves of young people creatively acting on their passion to build a better world. They made movies, plays and games. They organized teams that helped young people put care into action. They put their desire for a better world above their own agendas. Every action caused chain reactions and young people were an unstoppable force. The world really was changing and I loved every minute of it.
When I woke up, I turned to my wife and said: "I think I just saw what I want to do with the rest of my life." I had no idea how to do it and you might have well asked me to go to the moon, but that didn't matter. This dream was SO good that it had to be possible and I'd only find out if I tried. So I started trying. And after a couple of years of experimenting, it was time to dive in.
In 2009, I re-arranged my life so that I could found Scene Change. It started with a few friends who were crazy enough or at least kind enough to help me birth this vision. We established a vision, mission and guiding values then started designing and trying programs. Since then, we've been parts of the dream come true, while trying to bring as much of the dream as possible into real time.
